Disney: The Magic of Animation

Delve into childhood nostalgia at ACMI for the Australian debut of Disney: The Magic of Animation. Celebrating close to 100 years of Disney animation, this Melbourne-exclusive exhibition is a rare opportunity to discover the wonder, skill and artistry that goes into creating your favourite Disney animated characters, from early Mickey Mouse to the modern hit Frozen. Kids young and old will be transported by an art form that brings line drawings and digital imagery to life in unforgettable stories.
French Impressionism from The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

NGV International's major exhibition of French Impressionism, in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, opens the doors to more than 100 artworks by master European artists including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Mary Cassatt and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Tracing significant works of the Impressionist movement of the late 19th-century, the collection charts a transformative moment in art history. Spot some beloved scenes in the original pigment, and discover each artist's unique perspective through an extraordinary use of brush stroke, colour and light.
