A highlight event on the Melbourne festival calendar, the Melbourne Fashion Festival brings style, glitz and creative talent to the city for an extended showing of some of Australia’s best up-and-coming and established fashion designers.

A world-class program packs premium and independent runways, workshops, pop-up showcases, launchings, screenings and exhibitions into nine days, cementing Melbourne’s place as a leading fashion-forward city on the global stage.

Since launching in 1996, the Melbourne Fashion Festival has featured top fashion luminaries as well as beloved labels by local up-and-comers. Designers have included Wayne Cooper, Alannah Hill, Akira Isogawa, Alex Perry and Alpha60.

More than 175,000 fashion lovers attend the festival each year. Events take place at multiple venues across the city and surrounding suburbs, from Fitzroy and Carlton to South Yarra and St Kilda. Regional events are also programmed.
