A unique art project that is still evolving, the Silo Art Trail spans four regions of Victoria — the Murray, Grampians, High Country and Goldfields. Cruise from town to town and experience this innovative public art trail that sees renowned street artists from across the globe transform wheat silos into giant murals.
Heading north east from Melbourne, drive for 190 kilometres and base yourself in the city of Shepparton to spend a day or two discovering silo art in Devenish, St James, Goorambat, Tungamah and Katamatite. Then it’s time to head west towards St Arnaud in the Grampians region (210 kilometres from Shepparton).
Continue to Horsham and stay a few nights to explore the many silo locations dotted across the Grampians region. Highlights include impressive silo artworks in Sheep Hills, Arkona, Sea Lake, Kaniva and Murtoa. While you’re there, don’t miss a visit to the historic Murtoa Stick Shed and the Giant Koala.
