Overview

See the best of Victoria's natural beauty from dizzying heights and from deep down in the ground. Sites throughout Victoria offer the perfect backdrop for adventure activities like climbing, abseiling, caving, skydiving and more.

Climbing and abseiling

Climb with an expert at Mt Arapiles, one of the world's best climbing and abseiling areas. Try a no-impact climb in the Grampians (strictly outside Special Protection Areas), or scale the granite face of The Gorge at Mount Buffalo in the High Country. Newbies abseil at Falls Creek, while pros love Dinner Plain.

Caving

Prepare to get muddy as you head underground on a tour of the Britannia creek caves near Warburton. Alternatively, explore the fascinating river cave at Mount Buffalo and navigate your way through an active underground stream.

Skydiving and hang gliding

See the High Country from above with a skydive above Euroa or join up with a professional instructor to try hang gliding off the rim of The Gorge at Mount Buffalo. Adrenalin-junkies can also cross skydiving off the bucket list at the Great Ocean Road.

Paintball

Get a group of mates together for a round of paintball or laser tag. With operators all over Victoria, you can practice your stealth skills and duck in and out of specially built fields. Older children can join in for an exciting family outing.

Plan before you go

Make sure you check weather and terrain conditions and pack plenty of water before you embark on an outdoor adventure. Keep up-to-date with the latest warnings and advice via the Parks Victoria and Vic Emergency websites.
