Taking passengers for the first time through some of the most pristine and intact ecological forests, to places of geographic, historic and Aboriginal cultural significance, the PS Emmylou travels along the world’s third longest navigable river, to world heritage wetlands, and the world’s largest red gum forest.

With eight cabins, and the Murray River as muse, this boutique steam-powered cruise, is able to moor alongside outstanding river wineries, drop into local producers, pause to explore heritage sites and access ancient Murray River tributaries on the MV Kingfisher with an environmental specialist.

Onboard dining, prepared by the Emmylou’s Chef, features local food and wine from across the Heathcote and Perricoota wine regions. Riverside campfires are offered in the evenings, with stunning night skies to complete this unique experience.

    Head north of Melbourne to reach the winding path of the Murray River, the longest in Australia. Board the elegant paddlesteamer Emmylou, cruise along banks filled with swaying red gum trees, and enjoy a delicious Lunch or Dinner prepared by an expert chef on this scenic river ride. Meet up with your Skipper as you board the open decks of the PS Emmylou. Admire this classic paddlesteamer, powered by seasoned logs of local red gum trees. Watch as clouds of steam bellow out of its pipe as you drift away from the dock and head downriver. Relax while your onboard chef puts the finishing touches on lunch or dinner and order up a glass of wine to pair with your delectable multi-course meal. While you eat, take time to snap photos of the passing landscape, listen to intriguing commentary about the area's history, and consider taking a break from your food to take a peek inside the wheelhouse. Finish your meal as you come about and steam back to the dock, parting ways with your Skipper after will pull back to shore in Echuca.

The refitted contemporary cabins include fine linens topped with silky duvets, with the boats’ premier Suite located on the front Upper Deck, with French Doors opening to deck. Onboard dining, prepared by the Chef, features local food and wine from across the region. Riverside campfires with stunning night skies to complete this unique experience.
