Culinary treasures

Head down to Langtree Avenue, nicknamed 'Feast Street', one of Victoria's renowned dining strips. Sample a brew at the famous Mildura Brewery or fill up on Thai, Italian, Indian or Modern Australian.

Visit the Chateau Mildura winery or pop into nearby Trentham Estate for a relaxing lunch by the water.

Mildura is also the home of chef Stefano de Pieri, whose cookbooks and television programs made Mildura's culinary reputation.

On the water

Take off on a nineteenth century paddle steamer cruise or captain your own houseboat, making the occasional stop on sandy river beaches to experience the bliss of river life.

The Mildura 100 is an exciting pro waterskiing event that draws thousands to the region each year. Watch the pros, and then try it yourself at one of the local outlets.

Outback sunsets

Hit the local walking trails to explore this unique part of the world. Witness the lush countryside stretch into the vast Australian outback and explore the sand hills of Mungo National Park, an ancient environment boasting some of Australia's most significant Indigenous sites. Watch the evening sky change colour over the Perry Sandhills or cut across to the Hattah-Kulkyne and Murray-Sunset national parks where striking sunsets await.
