Overview

Make the most of your island getaway by soaking up the outdoor lifestyle all year round. See the sights, get the blood flowing and discover Phillip Island at your own pace. Explore the endless beaches, wander through stunning landscapes and get up close to friendly local wildlife on land and out on the water.

Wild on the water

Run through the shallows with the kids on a sheltered beach, cruise around the bay in a catamaran, or join a kayak adventure to see Rhyll Inlet's waterbirds. Catch an early morning wave at Woolamai Beach or try your skills at any one of the renowned breaks around the island, now a recognised National Surfing Reserve. Keep the thrills coming when you soar high above the water on an exhilarating flyboard experience.

Reel them in

Unleash your inner seadog with a day on the jetty at San Remo, Newhaven or Cowes and take home a fresh catch of fish to friends and family. For the ultimate angling adventure, cruise out into Westernport Bay on a fishing charter and reel in the catch of a lifetime.

Walking shoes

With over 1800 hectares of nature parks across Phillip Island, the outdoors never looked so good. Take a stroll or ride through mangrove habitats around Rhyll and spot migratory wading birds arriving in huge numbers. For a bit more exercise and some fresh sea air, head down to the coast to tackle a cliff top coastal walk at Cape Woolamai or The Nobbies.

Plan before you go

Make sure you check weather and terrain conditions and pack plenty of water before you embark on an outdoor adventure. Keep up-to-date with the latest warnings and advice via the Parks Victoria and Vic Emergency websites.
