Yabby Lake Winery
THE VINEYARD
Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula.
THEIR WINES
Led by winemaker Tom Carson, their philosophy is to craft wines highlighting their vineyard and the season in which they were grown. They craft a small selection of single vineyard and single block wines off the special site in Tuerong. The focus is on pinot noir and chardonnay, small plantings of pinot gris and syrah. Dedication has lead to some exciting accolades in recent years, including the history-making Block 1 Pinot Noir - which was the first pinot noir ever to win the revered Jimmy Watson Trophy, after 52 years of the award.
THE RESTAURANT
With Chef Simon West at the helm, you are guaranteed an exceptional meal created mainly with locally sourced produce, creating a menu that is unpretentious and relaxed, yet there is a beautiful refinement and finesse in its simplicity. This approach provides the perfect environment to explore the individual characteristics of the wines and of course to take in the surrounding vineyard views
THE ARTWORK
The wine and food experience is complemented by an engaging collection of artworks.
