Evita

Arts Centre Melbourne, 100 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000
Until 3 March

Season extended due to unprecedented demand.

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, the original Broadway and West End production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Evita had its Australian premiere in September last year, directed by legendary Broadway director Hal Prince and starring Tina Arena.

Evita charts the story of Eva Perón, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Perón, from her humble beginnings through to the power and status which ultimately led her to be heralded as the spiritual leader of the nation by the Argentine people.

With Evita coming to Arts Centre Melbourne this summer, Collingwood brewery, Stomping Ground Brewing Co, will be celebrating the spirit, smells and tastes of Argentina by creating a colourful, engaging and fun pop-up beer garden.

Stomping Ground La Boca will transport you to Argentina in a immersive experience through food, culture, music and live entertainment with Argentinian inspired performances, tango lessons and more.

Alongside a range of Stomping Ground Brewing Co's locally brewed beers, including a new Argentinian-inspired lager brewed exclusively for the beer garden, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of Argentinian wines and food delights from Asado by San Telmo.
