In celebration of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, delve into the rich history and thriving culture of the local First Peoples. Learn about their connection to plants, and explore the delights of bush foods on a gastronomic walk with an Aboriginal guide.

Discover how native Australian plants have inspired the modern plate and palate. Learn about the traditional uses of plants found in the Gardens, and the ways in which they continue to be used around the world today. Finish off with a tasting of delicious foods inspired by the native plants seen on your walk, developed and prepared by Aboriginal trainee chefs from social enterprise restaurant, Charcoal Lane.
