The High Country Charity Ride (HCCR) is a four day cycling event which raises money for cancer research via the Tour De Cure charity.
The ride starts in Wangaratta and travels through the high country towns of Bright, Omeo, Falls Creek and Myrtleford. The first day starts in Wangaratta and follows the rail trail to Beechworth and Stanley, after some lunch in Myrtleford the riders follow the Rail Trail to Bright.
The second day starts in Bright and see the riders ascend Mount Hotham before concluding in Omeo. The third day includes another large climb up Falls Creek, where riders will stay on mountain. On the fourth and final day, riders travel back to Wangaratta via Bright, Myrtleford and Whorouly.
The event is organised by local cycling group BDA Racing and all money raised will be donated to the Tour De Cure.
