Falls Creek Ice Plunge

Rocky Valley Lake, Bogong High Plains Road, Falls Creek, Victoria, 3699
01 Jun 2020

Winter has almost arrived and Falls Creek is ready to freeze with the annual Ice Plunge. Join Falls Creek locals and visitors alike in paying homage to the snow gods for loads of snow ahead by plunging into the cold waters of Rocky Valley Lake. Join Falls Creek locals as they take a winter plunge into Rocky Valley Dam to celebrate the first day of winter to pay homage to the snow gods for a good snow season.

This is no joke, at 1650 metres above sea level, Rocky Valley Lake is not just Australia's highest significant body of water, it also freezes over for part of the snow season. They never let minor details like this get in the way of tradition however and 2020 marks the 13th year we have celebrated winter by taking a mass plunge into the cold waters.

Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned.
