Welcome to Colac, where the Otways ranges meet Western Victoria Volcanic plains. Colac is nestled on the shore of Lake Colac, Victoria's largest freshwater lake. Colac provides a perfect place to explore surrounding villages that include Gellibrand, Birregurra, Forrest, Cressy, Beeac, Beech Forest and Lavers Hill.

Discover the local fauna and flora; ancient myrtle beech and mountain ash, fungi, koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, glow-worms, platypus, birds and more.

Follow local foodies trails, sampling home grown produce along the Otway Harvest Trail.

Journey into the past exploring the volcanic plains, railway and timber heritage, history walks and discovery trails at Colac and the Otway Villages. Take time to wander through the Colac Botanic Gardens overlooking Lake Colac go watch a bird or walk lakeside.
