If you would like a bigger adventure, ride the Ballarat-Skipton rail trail. Cycle the unsealed but gentle-gradient 53 kilometre rail trail as it takes you through wide-open country with sweeping vistas and bushland passing through small settlements of Smythesdale, Scarsdale, Linton and Skipton.
