This Food Fossicking Tour takes you on a journey through Bendigo’s history and culture, with the opportunity to meet passionate food heroes who showcase local produce, and hear the amazing stories of how Bendigo has produced some of Australia’s favourite foods.

Coinciding with the Bendigo Community Farmers Market, this guided tour showcases some of Bendigo's most intriguing venues, which include: Mister Grimsby Coffee, The Good Loaf, Hoo-Gah, and Indulge Fine Belgian Chocolates, before heading behind the scenes of Bendigo’s Historic Post Office for wine tastings with a local Bendigo winegrower, and an innovative seasonal platter from PepperGreen Farm.

Includes tour, tastings and a complimentary locally made tote bag.

The tour commences at Mister Grimsby Coffee at 10:00am - arrival required at 9:45am sharp, with the formal tour concluding at the Bendigo Visitor Centre at 12.35pm, with time to explore the Bendigo Community Farmers Market until 1:00pm. Only 10 places available on each tour so be sure to book your spot.

  • Tours operate once a month on a Saturday from 10:00am until 1:00pm, starting at Mister Grimsby Coffee, please arrive 9:45am sharp. Private group bookings are available, require three weeks notice and are bookable Tuesday to Saturday. Subject to availability.

Situated in the historic Post Office, Bendigo Visitor Centre can help you sort out all your needs while you are here, including accommodation, shopping, dining, booking attractions and tours, and provide you visitor information, map and guide books.

They also have quality gifts and souvenirs, so it is a must stop during your Bendigo Visit. The Visitor Centre opens everyday from 9:00am to 5:00pm except Christmas Day.
