Altona Homestead

128 Queen Street, Altona, Victoria, 3018

The Altona Homestead was the first to be constructed in the area, beginning in 1842. It has a rich history serving as a residence, holiday housing for a local company and civic offices for council meetings from 1957 to 1968.

Restoration works commenced in September 1988 to preserve this important piece of Altona history.

Altona Homestead is open on the first Sunday of the month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, every Saturday 10:00am to 12:00pm and every Tuesday 11:00am to 2:00pm.
