Giant Steps/Innocent Bystander is one winery with two very distinct labels.

Giant Steps focuses exclusively on the distinctive expression of single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley. These are produced fastidiously in the vineyard and vinified with minimal intervention so that each wine is a faithful expression of site, vintage and culture.

Innocent Bystander allows the winemaking team to go that bit further and sources fruit from many great vineyards within the Yarra Valley and beyond. These are approachable wines that deliver abundant fruit flavours.

Located in Healesville in the Yarra Valley, it is here 'behind the glass' that Giant Steps wines are hand-made in small batches alongside those of Innocent Bystander using gravity flow principles. The cellar door is a playground for adults, featuring wine, craft beers, cheese room, artisan bakery and in-house coffee roasting. Tours of the winery are held daily at 11am and 3pm.

Cancellation and booking policy

Whilst we have many tables available for dining at the Cellar Door, bookings are recommended to avoid potential wait times. We accept bookings of up to 25 people except on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (up to 6pm) and public holidays when the maximum booking size is strictly 8 people.
