Overview
Brambuk is a special place. Situated in Halls Gap within the natural oasis that is Grampians/Gariwerd National Park, it is the perfect place to experience Australia's native flora and fauna and Aboriginal culture.
The site incorporates the National Park information and Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural centres.
Brambuk is 100% owned and operated by Aboriginal people and is the longest running Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Australia.
Its multi award winning architecture interprets the traditional stories of the local Aboriginal people. Discover the culture of the Aboriginal communities of Western Victoria through multimedia shows, art exhibitions, artefact displays, cultural talks and lots of great activities such as didgeridoo music, traditional dance, basket weaving, boomerang throwing and painting.
Discover the unique six seasons of Gariwerd through the displays or join the Aboriginal guides on tours to ancient rock art sites and experience the secrets of the natural world. Brambuk Gift Shop offers art and crafts, ceramics, paintings, boomerangs and music. The Bush Tucker Café is licensed and serves delicious bush tucker and contemporary food.

Brambuk Experience Package - max 20 This package includes a tour of the Brambuk site, interpretation of the Six seasons of Gariwerd, viewing the Dreamtime Creation story in the Gariwerd Dreaming Theatre, learning to play a Didgeridoo or how to throw a boomerang and discovering the traditional medicinal & food plants of the area and tasting some bushtucker.
Tour commences at Brambuk at 9.30am. Duration is approximately 2hours.

Bunjil's Creation Tour - max 18 Learn the Local Creation story of the Grampians, view the ancient Rock Art at the resting place of the creator spirit Bunjil, learn about the spiritual significance of the area and finish off with a bushtucker lunch.
The tour starts at Brambuk at 9.30am Monday -Friday.
Duration: 3 hours.
Saturday and Sunday tours are also available on request. |

Six Seasons Tour - max 8 Be immersed in the Aboriginal Culture and spectacular environment of the Grampians National Park. Taken by an Aboriginal guide learn how Ochre was collected and prepared, see a variety of ancient Rock Art, learn about food & medicinal plants, follow the dreamtime creation story and view the Park from the best vantage points. Morning tea is included and you finish off with a Bushtucker lunch.
The tour starts at Brambuk at 9.30am Thursdays & Fridays.
Duration: approximately 5 hours, finishing at 2:30pm. Please book at least one week ahead. |
