Ron Wallas (winemaker of Wallaston wines and Sara Grazia (Italian charcuterie specialist) are joint owners of the Piper Street Italian restaurant, Aperitivo Food and Wine Bar. Whilst having only been in operation for 18 month, they have shown their talent by winning the 2011 Daylesford and Macedon Ranges Harvest Regional Tasting Plate match with local wine, against a large field of well established restaurants in the area.

Aperitivo Food and Wine Bar is now renovated and reopened with a new look, new operating hours and new menu. During December, on Wednesday and Thursday, Aperitivo Food and Wine Bar will be offering lunch and wine tasting from 11am to 2pm. There are also monthly "Theme Nights", where the focus is on different regions of Italy. Authentic dishes are matched with the regions wines, offering three courses with wine for $70 per person. In addition to the regular opening hours, they can cater for special events, such as birthdays, anniversaries and social or work group functions, matching a menu to suit your budget. The establishment has seating for 45 inside and 30 in the rear courtyard which over looks St Paul's park, making it an ideal venue for that special occasion.

Apart from the restaurant, Ron also breeds Black Angus cattle and Boer meat goats. Slow cooked meats are a regular on the Winter and Autumn menu. Sara conducts courses in Fresh Sausage Making, Cured Meats including Prosciutto and cheese making.

They are Kyneton's only Cellar door and sell Wallaston local award winning wines.

From Melbourne take the Calder Highway to Kyneton. Arrive at Kyneton via High Street, turn right at the traffic light into Mollison Street then turn left into Piper Street.
