Wildlife viewing Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road has an amazing array of wildlife viewing opportunities. See southern right whales at Warrnambool, kangaroos and koalas up close at the Tower Hill State Game Reserve and some of the largest seal colonies in Australia at Lady Julia Percy Island and Cape Bridgewater.
Wander through Melba Gully State Park to view a large colony of glow worms providing a spectacular light show. Or take a canoe trip at dawn on Lake Elizabeth and see platypus in the wild.
Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula:

Swim with dolphins and seals. Join a tour in Queenscliff and set sail out into the bay to watch them from the deck or from the water.

Visit Victoria's southern right whale nursery at Logan's Beach in Warrnambool between June and September.

See hundreds of seals frolicking in the waters around Lady Julia Percy Island, just off the coast of Port Fairy.

Take a cruise out to Cape Bridgewater and see up to 1000 Australian and New Zealand fur seals playing all around you.

Keep an eye out for blue whales off Cape Nelson near Portland between November and May or see them from the air on a whale watching flight.
