One of the few of its kind, ACMI celebrates what became the 20th century’s defining artform, showing us where the medium is today and what the future holds. Of the Centre’s many aspects, the Memory Grid certainly merits closer inspection. This interactive exhibition space enables you to view the ACMI collection of short films by students and independent filmmakers. Some pieces have toured the festival circuit, others haven’t been screened outside the classroom but each represents a unique perspective on the world. Access to films is via the custom built lounge ‘pods’ featuring plasma screens and seating for up to 5 people.
