| For some children, the supermarket is their primary point of contact with plant life. As such, the Ian Potter Children’s Garden aims to give kids the opportunity to explore and enjoy the natural world. Here, plants have been selected to reflect the changing seasons, as well as for their sensory qualities, be it touch, smell or visual splendour. And activity sessions where children are encouraged to get their hands dirty foster a sense of connection to the environment. Featuring a kitchen garden, bamboo forest, lavender labyrinth and wetland area, there’s plenty to feed fertile imaginations. Copyright © 2006 |
