| The most potent form of learning is hands-on, something certainly encouraged at the Children’s Gallery. Aimed at 3-8 year olds, the complex includes Big Box: the giant multi-coloured cube which became an instant landmark. It houses the 1,2,3 Grow exhibition where children explore the physical changes that occur during the life cycle of humans, plants, and animals. Featuring life-size specimens, children gain the kind of up-close perspective you can’t really get at the zoo. The Gallery itself houses children’s artwork, collections and stories, while outside, the Tattersall’s children’s garden harnesses the power of wind to great effect. Copyright © 2006 |
