| Run by artists for artists, Blindside keeps good company. Located in the historic Nicholas Building, itself full of studios, you know that the neighbours are always up to something interesting. As for Blindside, it’s dedicated to presenting emerging and established artists in solo, duo and curated group shows. The gallery facilitates exchanges between local and interstate artists and seeks to encourage innovation and experimentation in contemporary art practice. Previous exhibitions have set up artistic blind dates, seen food transformed in ways unlikely to appear in Gourmet Traveller, and explored fashion’s mean streak.
