Great Ocean Road International Marathon

The Great Ocean Road International Marathon is a new and adventurous concept in Australian distance running.

The GO Marathon will be staged for the fourth time on the weekend of May 17-18, 2008

The Great Ocean Road provides the most spectacular and challenging course of any marathon in the world and our program of events  will appeal to runners and walkers of all abilities.

The international marathon is being publicised and promoted worldwide and has the capacity to appeal to runners and walkers of all abilities.

The marathon is designed to be a tourism drawcard for the Apollo Bay-Colac-Otway-Lorne region, four races will be held over the weekend.

Participants will compete for more than $40,000 in prize money, trophies and random awards. There is a prize for the first female and male City of Greater Geelong resident, to finish who hasn't been a City of Greater Geelong representative runner at the Senshu Marathon in the last seven years. The prize includes return airfares from Sydney to Osaka, race entry and six nights' accommodation.
