COMPLETE TOWER HILL EXPERIENCES On arrival at Tower Hill entrance our experienced guide will welcome you and explain the significance of volcanic land formations and the impact the eruption had on modern day historical events. We then undertake the Peak Climb. During the journey that takes in magnificent coastal views and scenic rim of Tower Hill, we come across Yatt Mirning, a mini volcano and one of forty eruption points within the park. All the while you come across wildlife and get a better appreciation of Tower Hill’s natural habitat. From here we walk to a secluded precinct where visitors are given a personal Aboriginal “welcome to country” followed by spear and boomerang throwing. Become aware of hunting techniques Aboriginal's used before embarking on a walk informing visitors about ongoing links Indigenous people have with the land. Learn about making baskets, plant species used for food and medicinal uses. Collect and prepare tucker in readiness for lunch consisting of homemade damper, tasty bush-food condiments, sauces and spices served with a selection of traditional or contemporary meats. Guests will be treated to a didgeridoo performance and given an explanation about local artwork Tuurann Lirpeen and Terracotta Sands. Both lines were created by Worn Gundidj and are truly Victorian. Sight a hand made possum skin cloak and gain an understanding of is cultural significance to local Aboriginal people.
