Fun in the snow
Spend winter weekends near Marysville at Lake Mountain, Australia's top cross-country ski resort. Plough your way through valleys of snowgum woodlands along 30 kilometres of well-marked ski trails, ranging from beginner to advanced.  

Toboggan or tube down the slopes, throw snowballs and make snowmen, or become an expert with a ski lesson. 

Rug up and play in the snow at Mount Donna Buang, near Warburton. Make the most of the town's facilities when you've exhausted the snow fun.

The Victorian ski season runs from the first weekend in June through to September. 

When the snow melts
Return to the mountains in the warmer months and see the trails transformed into great walking and mountain bike tracks. Escape the summer heat on relaxing walks to see the bright wildflowers and views of Marysville, Melbourne, surrounding mountain ranges and the Victorian Alps.
