Scenic attractions in the Yarra Valley

Float high above the Yarra Valley in a hot air balloon for unprecedented views of rolling hills strung with vines, lush greenery and pastures.

Changing views with the local drops
With boutique wineries around every bend in the valley you won't need to be convinced of its charms. Enjoy a meal accompanied by local wine amid the vines as you travel around.

See alternate views of the valley from both in and outside the curved Tarra Warra Museum of Modern Art, built to integrate into the landscape.

Picnic spots and native wildlife
Pick up some winery specials to enjoy with a gourmet picnic in the peaceful fern gullies and mountain ash at Badger Weir Park near Healesville.

Visit Healesville Sanctuary wildlife park and get up-close-and-personal to 200 species of native wildlife on meandering paths and walk-through exhibits.

Venture into the Christmas Hills and Sugarloaf Reservoir. Go bushwalking along the 18-kilometre trail, bird watching, sightseeing, sailing and shoreline fishing. Have a picnic at Ironbark Ridge or Saddle Dam overlooking the reservoir.

Due to the 2009 fires and 2010 floods, some parks in the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges remain closed to visitors. Please ask at the local Visitor Information Centre or check the Parks Victoria website for current track, road and area closures.
