Film: Sweet tooth
Location: Lancefield Farmers' Market
Address: High Street, Lancefield

If you're in the market for fresh, locally sourced everything, wander no further. Held every fourth Saturday morning at Lancefield's Centre Plantation, this is an authentic farmers market with extra goodness.

Beneath a canopy of heritage-listed trees, wander some 50 stalls with the wares of local famers and food producers. Find market staples: fruit, veg, eggs, cheese, honey and local meats. Get a little gourmet with smallgoods, fresh pasta, handmade preserves and small batch oils. Treat yourself to cut flowers or go DIY with potted plants and trees. Visit outlets with vegetarian, Thai and Turkish offerings or feast on local meats from the community barbecue.

As well as selling fresh everything, Lancefield's farmers market has the local free face-painting market cornered, has free live music most weekends, and offers all kinds of food-and-farming-related demonstrations and workshops.
