The Murray is home to a strong artistic community with impressive regional galleries in Swan Hill, Mildura, Albury and Shepparton. 

Australian masters and local gems
The Mildura Arts Centre features changing exhibitions of contemporary and historical arts and crafts as well as the permanent collection, which includes the largest single collection of paintings by Sir William Orpen. Works by Sir Frank Brangwyn and a number of important Australian artists are also well represented. 

Visit Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery to catch some of the best touring exhibitions from around Australia, or call in to the Albury Regional Art Gallery to see its collection of works by renowned painter Sir Russell Drysdale. 

Fine craftwork
Head to the Shepparton Art Gallery to see the internationally recognised ceramic collection or browse fine woodwork carved from local timbers, pottery, glass and gemstones at a number of specialist art and craft stores in and around Mildura and Echuca-Moama.
