Fuel for your adventure at basement Izakaya Den – all the Japanese snacks are good but the corn kaki-age is compulsory. Head to Flinders Lane and peep at Vietnamese-influenced Coda and modern French Ôter before turning right into ACDC Lane. At the bottom of the lane is Peruvian Pastuso then, heading left into Duckboard Place, you'll come upon the secret doorway to the Rose Garden cocktail lounge at Garden State Hotel. Sneak back out past elegant Indian Tonka and contemporary Chinese Lee Ho Fook. Head up to Flinders Lane then turn right to lose yourself at Eau De Vie with cocktails, whisky and snacks. Still standing? Take a 10-minute constitutional via Pizza Pizza Pizza (pop through the storeroom door to find a hidden bar) and finish off with rooftop drinks at naughtily nice Madame Brussels. 1km
