The stylish, horn-led John Montesante Quintet returns to Bird's Basement, in the company of one of Australia's most engaging and vibrant jazz vocalists.

Sassy Jazz songstress Tamara Kuldin has been captivating audiences in Melbourne, New York and Paris with her sultry and heartfelt interpretations of songs from The Great American Songbook, along with European classics and lesser known vintage jazz and blues gems.

A storyteller through song, inspired by Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughan, Nat King Cole Billie Holiday, Doris Day and numerous others, Tamara’s vivacity and vocal prowess has propelled her to top-line status, featuring at countless Jazz Festivals and appearing at premier Jazz venues in Australia and abroad, including Cafe Universal (Paris) and Birdland Jazz Club (NYC) - sister club to Bird's Basement.

Tamara will feature with JMQ Jazz Ensemble, founded and led by trumpeter, arranger and composer, John Montesante since 1990. This quintet is reputed for its quality musicianship, versatility and entertainment value - with an always stellar artistic lineup.

'Comes Love...' will be a bouquet of songs, where Tamara and the JMQ Jazz Ensemble interpret Blue Note and Jazz standards in a performance that entices and fulfills all your expectations.
