Wall to Wall - Street Art in Benalla

03 5762 1817

On the weekend of the 18th of April 2016, Benalla hosted Wall to Wall, Victoria’s only major street art festival. Now in it’s second year, the event drew over 4,000 people to our town in North East Victoria.

Curated once again by Juddy Roller, whose principal mover and shaker Shaun Hossack is a former Benalla local, Wall to Wall 2016 featured artists talks, workshops, skate demonstrations by the Zoo York Skate team, street art tours and of course, 15 of Australia’s best street artists painting walls across the town.

Benalla now has 28 murals, painted by the likes of Rone, Adnate, Kaff-eine, Lucy Lucy, Smug, Guido Van Helten and many more, making it one of the best destinations in Australia to view high end contemporary street art.

Locals also got in on the action in 2016 with two walls painted by the winners of the Benalla Mural Art Prize, a community wall featuring the brush work of Benalla residents young and old and a number of art works that were commissioned by local business owners.
