SCOPE Galleries showcases contemporary painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery from regional and metropolitan artists. SCOPE is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in regional Victoria with six exhibition spaces and a changing exhibition schedule. SCOPE is the home of the National Art Award, Art Concerning Environment, a biennial award held on the June long weekend with the next award to be held in 2016. Entry forms are now available to download from their website. The Award attracts a non-acquisitive prize of $5000.SCOPE takes selected artwork on consignment and visual artists can also apply to hire space for solo or group exhibitions. Application forms are available from the website.Entry to the gallery is free.
If entering Warrnambool via the Princes Highway from either direction you will see signs to SCOPE Galleries at the Kelp Street intersection. SCOPE Galleries is easily located for pedestrians being one block north of the Tourist Information Centre and Flagstaff Hill and two blocks east of Liebig Street, the main street of Warrnambool, the main street of Warrnambool.
