Old Beechy Rail Trail

The Old Beechy Rail Trail follows the path of an early narrow gauge railway that once ran from Colac via Beech Forest to Crowes through the Otway Ranges collecting timber harvested from surrounding forest. This linear trail passes through scenic forest, rich farmland and rolling hills and is relatively challenging with undulating terrain and exhilarating descents. The trail can be completed in either direction in full or in shorter sections and is suitable for mountain bikers or walkers.
