Local produce
Tempt your tastebuds with a fine selection of local produce such as freshly caught seafood, gourmet cheeses and luscious hand-picked berries.
Gourmet cheeses
Sample delicious local cheeses from selected producers such as Apostle Whey, Timboon and Meredith cheeses. Visit Cheeseworld just outside Warrnambool, or the Timboon Railway Shed Distillery to pick up local cheeses and other region produced fare.
Ocean catch
Visit the local fishing cooperatives beside the wharfs at Queenscliff and Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula or Apollo Bay and Port Campbell along the Great Ocean Road, Port Fairy and Portland and purchase fresh seafood from the daily catch. Mussels freshly harvested from farms in Port Phillip Bay are sold from the Portarlington Pier most weekends.
Hand-picked berries
Head inland and pick your own berries from farms near Colac, Gellibrand, Deans Marsh, Heywood and the Bellarine Peninsula. Some of the best berry-picking farms include Tuckerberry Hill, Wallington Strawberries, Gentle Annie Berry Gardens, Pennyroyal Raspberries and Shoebridge Blueberries but be sure to check for the best season.
