Set aside some time to enjoy the excellent shopping, dining and entertainment offerings in Horsham before hitting the road. If you're staying at Halls Gap, proceed to Stawell and follow the Western Highway to Dadswell Bridge. Duck off on a fascinating side trip to check out Wartook Valley, Mackenzie Falls and several local lookouts. The region's national parks are home to more than 200 species of birds and several species of kangaroo and wallaby. Tread softly in the Little Desert and you might even catch a glimpse of the remarkable Mallee Fowl.

Enjoy natural heritage attractions and majestic mountain ranges on a Great Grampians and Little Desert tour, taking in picturesque Wartook Valley and Mount Arapiles. World famous as a rock climbing destination, Mount Arapiles is also accessible by bike or car.  Make your way to the top and revel in the breathtaking views of the surrounding Wimmera Plain.

Wartook Valley offers mountain views and native wildlife, secluded creeks and spectacular waterfalls. Olive groves, famous for their gourmet produce, dot the northern face of the Grampians, opening up to the plains and distant views of Mount Arapiles. Plan your visit between July and November to see wildflowers transform the area into a kaleidoscope of colour.
