Described by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society as 'something rather special' Blues/Folk songwriter Luke Watt’s songs 'sneak up on you like a sucker punch', exhibiting a lyrical depth and thematic grit so rarely experienced in the contemporary blues/folk scene.

With influences such as Chris Whitley, Kelly Joe Phelps, Richard Thompson and Bob Dylan, Luke possesses a unique guitar style, drawing on folk melodies and blues grooves to convey stories both dark and uplifting.

Luke toured his debut album Examples of Farewell Speech nationally throughout 2009/2010, appearing at the Brunswick Music Festival, The Australian Blues Music Festival, The National Music Muster Gympie and The Queenscliff Music Festival plus countless live music venues.
