Ballarat Frolic Festival

0411 875 887

Until 25 Oct 2017

Ballarat Frolic Festival is a week long, community run celebration of regional Victoria's lesbian, gay, bi, trans, intersex, and asexual/ally culture.

In September last year they put on the first Ballarat LGBTIQA Ball which was a great success with over 200 people in attendance, visitors from other cities and states, and a wonderful message of support provided by Deputy Mayor Belinda Coats.

Based on experience putting on the Ball, the organisers decided that it would be a great outcome for Ballarat's LGBTIQA community if they grew the event into a week long festival.

The festival will be an opportunity for Ballarat's gender and sexually diverse community to come together to access services, foster connections, and provide positive visibility with the broader community.

With events such as the Frolic bush dance, speed dating, the Queer Art Show and film night, and the second annual Ballarat LGBTIQA ball, there is something for everyone.

So, come way out west and join in to celebrate diversity and show your support for queer Ballarat.
