Park life

If you're more of an outdoor type, head out to the Paddys Ranges State Park in the Pyrenees Ranges. Here you'll find a wide variety of local flora and fauna including the rare Swift parrot, wallabies, kangaroos and echidnas as well as Quartz Mountain, a massive quartz outcrop. Visit during the springtime and be amazed by the wildflowers, over 230 species have been recorded in the area including 30 different kinds of orchids.
