Staying in Castlemaine? Drop by Fashion Central on Templeton to find vintage items, designer offerings from overseas, along with an eclectic range of jewellery and accessories at Habadash. Villages such as Talbot and Maldon are also home to an eclectic mix of shops selling everything from handmade furniture to vintage clothing and collectable books.

To market
If you're shopping for local produce, time your visit to coincide with one of the many local weekend markets. Pick up farm fresh fruit and vegetables, specialty cheeses, smallgoods and bread straight from the baker's oven.

Old world wares
Spend an afternoon browsing through the many antique and collectibles stores on Castlemaine's Mostyn and Barker Streets then head to the main street in Maldon for more opportunities. In Maryborough the historic Railway Station building is home to an extensive Antique Emporium.
