Wingan Mallacoota Scenic Four Wheel Drive

Parks Victoria Croajingolong National Park page.

Skip the main roads and take the more exhilarating, scenic route to Mallacoota through the breathtaking Alfred and Croajingolong National Parks.

Leave the tranquil Drummer River Rainforest picnic area and make your way to Alfred National Park, which is recognised for the protection of the nationally significant warm temperate rainforest.

Take in the peaceful Wingan River from the Wingan Link picnic area, then travel to Croajingolong National Park via the Hard to Seek Track and its river crossing. Croajingolong is a UNESCO declared World Biosphere Reserve and remains one of Victoria's iconic parks. Reward yourself with spectacular 360-degree views over Mallacoota and Croajingolong on your way to the park by detouring along Hard to Seek Track to Genoa Peak.

Make your way to Shipwreck Creek campground and set off on a walk along the remote sandy beaches and heathlands, or head to Betka Beach where the Betka River flows into Bass Strait.

Finally, arrive in Mallacoota, one of Gippsland's great escapes and a destination for boating, fishing, walking and swimming.

Warnings: Log truck traffic. Seasonal road closures. Creek crossing.
