Overview

Camping

Pitch a tent or park your campervan in Gippsland's pristine wilderness or friendly coastal towns. Stay in a forest park or choose a holiday site with full facilities.

Caravan and holiday parks

Gippsland is a caravan and motor-home-friendly region. Relax and enjoy the convenience of powered sites, recreation areas, covered camp kitchens, showers, toilets and washing machines, public dump points and gated security. Some sites have wireless internet, TVs, pools and tennis courts. Call ahead to secure your spot at peak school holiday periods.

Bushland and waterside camping

You'll find sites and facilities in national parks across Gippsland, including the World Biosphere Reserve Croajingolong National Park, all around the Gippsland Lakes region, and at beautiful Tidal River on Wilsons Promontory. Be sure to book in advance during the summer months.

Don’t feel like roughing it? The Parks Victoria Wilderness Retreats at Buchan Caves Reserve and Cape Conran combine the excitement of bush camping with some of the comforts of home. Stay in an elevated tent that will keep you clear of the elements and any creepy crawlies, complete with beds, furniture and even a sundeck.
