Overview

With rugged coastlines and white sandy beaches, lush forests and alpine country, there's plenty of outdoor fun to keep nature lovers, thrill seekers and family explorers on the move across Gippsland.

Adventure bound

Head out into the wilderness on a two- or four-wheel driving adventure, available on seasonal roads throughout Gippsland's high country. Prefer a slower pace? Take a relaxing bike ride on one of the many rail trails, see the beautiful countryside on horseback, or bring the kids and pitch a tent under the stars in a national park.

Waterways and snow trails

Hit the coast and explore the many waterways of the vast Gippsland Lakes region. Enjoy a broad range of water-based activities, from swimming, water-skiing and boating to scuba diving, surfing and fishing. Want more of a rush? Get the blood pumping on the ski slopes of Mount Baw Baw during the winter months or test out one of the downhill mountain bike trails in summer.

Relax and unwind

Amble through vast national parks and state forests including Croajingolong, Wilsons Promontory and The Lakes national parks. Stroll along pristine beaches and coastal walks or take in a round of golf at renowned courses all across the Gippsland region.
