Peta's Open Garden at Longford

0472 997 880

30 Sep - 1 Oct 2017

Visit this inspiring garden featuring a wonderful display of Australian flora in a beautifully designed landscape. Set in three acres, Peta’s garden includes a natural dam that separates the expansive area of grassland from the contemporary home.

Spring is peak time in this garden with under-stories of grasses and ground covers creating a haven for birdlife and native animals. A palette of wildflowers contrasts with the canopy of delicate foliage of she-oaks, eucalypts, grevilleas and wattles with green, silver, grey and deep crimson colours pervading. The large dam surrounded by sedges, rushes and lomandra is the perfect habitat for water birds and pond life. A productive vegetable garden, orchard and entertainment areas nestle comfortably in the serene environment.

A native plant stall by Woolenook Nursery will be available with tea and scones provided by CWA Stradbroke for sale.

All proceeds from the opening will be donated to Glasshouse Gatherings.
