Primary School children from all over Gippsland will meet in Mirboo North on the 29 September to set up shop in the Baromi Centre and run a pop-up cafe to support the RSPCA. The pop-up cafe is the brainchild of young Mirboo North resident Sophie, who saw the opportunity to run a business with her friends both new and old as too good to miss. The pop up cafe aims to raise money for the dogs, cats and other animals that the RSPCA takes care of for the community, with every dollar made going to their organisation. The RSPCA's Fight Animal Cruelty with Cupcakes initiative helps generate funds for rescuing, treating, rehabilitating and sheltering the hundreds of thousands of animals that come into their care. From mistreated dogs and cats through to ducks and wetland birds affected by oil spills and chemical dumps, the RSPCA give animals 'a second chance at a better life'.
