Now in its 46th year, the Tarra Festival has grown in popularity and size each year. For 2018, the theme of the festival will be 'Things with Wings'.

The must-see activity is the Street Parade on Easter Saturday which includes floats from the local schools and community groups, horses, penny farthings, vintage cars, trucks and more. There are street entertainers, sausage sizzles, cake stalls and heaps of fun for everyone.

Prior to and after the street parade is the Yarram Market, now just off the main street, and afterwards is the Lions Family Fun Day. Activities run across the whole weekend with markets and a multicultural fair in Port Albert on Sunday, free fireworks on Sunday night in Port Albert, the Monster Markets in Yarram on Monday, as well as a massive range of sport and recreation activities, the renowned Rotary Art Show, exhibitions and displays from most community groups, outdoor movies, social dance, authors talks and anything else we can think of turning on and showing off.

So whatever you are doing at Easter long weekend, why not experience Tarra Festival and make sure you do not miss one of Gippsland's biggest and most popular events.
