Vereker Outlook and Millers Landing
The track to Vereker Outlook winds through open banksia woodland, stringy-bark forest and a tumble of granite boulders rewarding you with panoramic views of Darby Saddle, Corner Inlet, Shellback Island and Cotters Beach. On your return, take the link track to the Millers Landing Nature Walk to see the southernmost stand of mangroves in the world.
Location: Wilsons Promontory National Park
Distance: 8.25 km return, 3 hr 30 min
Grade: Level 2 (Millers Landing) – No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10 km.
Level 3 (Vereker Outlook) – Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep sections, a rough surface and steps.Walks up to 20 km.
Getting there: Take South Gippsland Highway (A440) from Melbourne, turn south at Meeniyan and Fish Creek (C444). Follow the signs to the national park entrance. Inside the park, travel a short distance before turning left into Five Mile Road. Travel along Five Mile Road until your reach the car park.
