The annual Festival of Sails in Geelong sees world-class sailing action combined with fantastic free waterfront entertainment! Watch the largest keelboat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere and enjoy the carnival atmosphere, with live music, kids entertainers, spectacular waterski and flyboard shows, family-friendly activities, rides, a ‘discover sailing’ program, food trucks, market stalls, plus the iconic Australia Day fireworks display on January 26 at 9.30pm.Among the performers are legendary Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, with X-Factor runner-up Dean Ray, Melbourne's The Badloves, and blues stalwart Blues Mountain also part of the impressive line-up. Enjoy the Festival’s spectacular opening event, the Melbourne to Geelong race on January 21, where hundreds of boats will charge into Corio Bay, including British tall ship STS Tenacious - the largest operative wooden boat in the world.
