Prue studied classical flute at the Melbourne Conservatorium and the Victorian College of the Arts, gaining a Bachelor of Music and Post Graduate Diploma of Arts in Music Performance.

She was then employed by the University of Tasmania as head flute tutor at the Launceston Campus, giving recitals, directing her own flute orchestra, and composing music for solo flute and electronic digital delay. After several years she moved to Geelong where she continued to perform and run a private teaching studio. Prue also became involved in performing and researching Irish traditional music, and with her band, she has performed in many International Folk Festivals. Always fascinated by the power of acoustics, Prue has delighted in having the opportunity to play in a series of lunchtime Meditations at the Basilica of Mary of the Angels.

Prue will play a collection of pieces that reflect the power of freedom of spirit and evoke memories of past experiences
